     ripped up my notebook
     and placed the resulting pieces
     in strategic places
     on myself,
     creating a paper maché cast
     of words about you
     in the shape of my bare body,

     completely used up
     all of my pretty words
     soliloquizing at your
     window,

     stuck my pen
     into my spine
     and, with the
     resulting fluid,
     wrote about
     how your skin
     feels on mine,

     told you in
     over-enunciated syllables
     and quirky rhymes

     exactly how i feel
